Trdelník is an ice cream I first tried in Prague, last year when I visited this wonderful city. I learned that this Ice cream is made popular from Tourists and is mainly sold to tourists. When one first discovers this City of course that it’s cool to discover some old timed pastries and food to feel the culture. Seeing the Ice Cream I thought oh that’s probably something cultural because it’s different from anywhere else, and it’s a bit sad when I found out it’s fairly new and there for tourists.
Nonetheless, the Ice-cream was delicious. It’s Usually cooked over coals or a low fire, Trdelník is wound around dowels and rotates continuously while cooking till it’s done. The Ice-cream is tasty and well done.
Walking throw Prague one can see many people enjoying this pastry, on the streets of restaurants. Even though it’s tradition is not far in the past it still became part of the Prague experience, and I am really happy about it.
