Travelling to the Philippines Palawan Puerto Princesa and Manila

In early 2019, before the world was shut down, we travelled on a two-week holiday to the Philippines. Our first destination was Palawan, where we spent a week in Puerto Princesa. We visited the Natuturingan Caves and a small island for snorkelling and swimming and were fortunate enough to capture some breathtaking sunsets off the beach of the Sheridan Beach Resort and Spa.

Pawalwan provided some beautiful opportunities for sunsets and seascapes scenes.

The Setting ranged around 100 sec, f/16, ISO 200 for the daytime photos

For the sunset photos, the setting ranged around 1.3sec, f/11, ISO200

After Palawan, we headed to Manila to visit my wife’s family. This bustling city provided ample opportunities for street photography, managing to capture some gritty shots.

The settings for the above were around 1/320 sec, f/7.1, IS0 250

All the photos were shot on a Canon 5D III.
