Hello there to whoever is reading this.
I’m going to share with you my trip to Riviera Maya.
I’m a mexican girl from Aguascalientes, Mexico. So, going to Riviera Maya was not something easy for me because you have to travel by airplane or instead go on a 24 hr trip on car, plus all the stops you need to do…So one day I received an email with some good offers to travel by airplane and I didn’t think it too much and booked the flight for me and my parents thinking that we deserved that family trip after not having traveled for more than 5 years and having gone through a serious illness with my dad.
As you can imagine (or maybe not) we didn’t’ have much money so the thing here to make this trip possible was booking a cheap flight (my recommendation is looking for promos after midnight and on Tuesday’s - Thrusday’s and not on weekends, also booking with months of anticipation) and the other thing was look for an Airbnb because most of the hotels were very expensive. In this occassion I found a house near to Isla Mujeres (one of the most beautiful beaches of Riviera Maya that you need to visit). And from there we moved with a rental car (we rented through Hertz and was a very good experience) because moving on taxi was very expensive.
In our trip (one week) we went to visit Tulum, an archaelogical area were basides of observing all the cultural wealth you have the possibility of going down to the sea.
Another great experience that we had was visiting “Aktun chen”, a natural park just 20 km North of Tulum ruins where you can find animals as the whitetail deer, spider monkey and lowland paca. Here we went down to a cave that ends with a spectacular cenote with “estalagmitas” and “estalagtitas” that are natural formations of rocks. This site is just beatiful!
At night we went to visit the hotel zone of Cancun where you cand find some “CANCUN” giant letters so you can take a selfie with them!
Also I have to say that the nightlife is awesome over there. If you have the opportunity you need to spend a night in Coco Bongo
Over there on the hotel zone there’s a mall called “La Isla” where you can find a fortune wheel and a lot of restaurants and renowned brand stores so you can enjoy a day walking and tasting the incredible food while having and awesome view.
And here are some random photos that I took on my trip and feel like I need to share because I love them all
