There are hardly any weekends when we don’t travel, we travel at-least to the nearby suburbs and explore. Travel is simply the movement between places. It may be by foot, vehicles on land, animals or air/ water. Travel connects people, civilizations and traditions. Lot of things are gathered from a travel and meet ups. Happiness is one great feeling that you experience when you travel and eat with your dear ones.
Irrespective of the destination, every travel becomes memorable because of the closeness of the members traveling together.
Let me share in brief about one such place of India.
Mysuru is a major city and a prime tourist attraction of Karnataka state. It was the capital of the Kingdom of Mysore from 1399 to 1947. My kid always wanted to visit the Mysuru Zoo, as he is a staunch animal admirer/ supporter. We decided to take a 2 day off to visit the iconic city of Mysuru during the Dussera Holidays of his school.
Mysore Dussera is the most famous dussera celebration anywhere in the world. The center of attraction is the Palace. Lit up by thousands of lights, the opulent Mysore Palace is a treat to watch during the night celebrations of Dussera. (It was built by the Wodeyar kings )
The city offers everything to any traveler from simple tea shops/ homely food/ stay to 5 star hotels, all in the vicinity of the Palace.
When you are traveling with kid(s) for long trips, we must ensure essentials for making the journey kid friendly. I will admit that traveling with kid(s) is the biggest fun I personally experienced.
The way they look at the scenic beauty of a place is too authentic and awesome.
As the global pandemic drew its curtain all over, travel got reduced. People started to cocoon inside the apartments/ homes/ rooms for months protecting themselves from the infections. Even we almost stopped venturing out during the past two years.
Lot of stress developed due to the restrictions.
People failed to recognize the physical symptoms of work-related stress because during the pre covid era(Year 2019) we use to move out freely out of our homes and work spaces. We were free to meet friends and hang out. But during the covid crisis, people burnt out.
So this trip was a stress buster for us.
