TRAPIZZINO Abstract of the traditional Roman food.

When we visit Rome, all the food that we find is pasta or pizza, is the most popular around the center; but like other ancient cities Rome has a traditional food (pollo alla cacciatora, polpetta alla romana, etc) however we walk so much in Rome and we can’t lost time to make a reservation and sit in a Hosteria restaurant, isn’t part of the plans.
In trastevere we can find a real abstract of that kind of food  is named TRAPIZZINO is a peace of no flavor pizza with the most traditional stews, the first time that i tried the Trapizzino was the most wonderful experience; my favorite is the pollo alla cacciatora one, my friends and i decide to match with a glass of wine.
If you are in trastevere neighborhood or if you recently arrived in Termini station (because there is another bar in Mercato centrale) you can’t miss the opportunity to try the Trapizzino.

Bon Appetite!

Hello @Cmiguel_87 ,

Welcome to Connect and thanks for sharing this delicious specialty with us! I used to live in Rome between 1999 and 2008, a wonderful city rich of history, art, culture and tasty food!

The “Trapizzino” is a recent invention of a creative pizza chef called Stefano Callegari. Is the corner of a “white pizza”, hence has the triangular shape of a traditional “Tramezzino” (Tramezzino + Pizza = Trapizzino!), then opened like a pocket and filled with traditional recipes, such as meatballs or eggplants “Parmigiana”. Such a great invention! :slightly_smiling_face:

Since you are new, I suggest you read these 14 helpful tips for using Connect and, if you want, you can introduce yourself here: Introduce Yourself - March 2020.

Hi @Cmiguel_87 ,

You have presented a very unique Italian food, which I heard of. I’ve had different varieties of pasta and pizza, but was not even aware of those traditional food you were talking about. It would be great if you can share some pictures of these food items, especially Trapizzino.

I also like to thank @Giu_DiB for guiding me about this cuisine and sharing this post with me …
