Don’t forget to take time to CLEAN THE MAP while you’re out there hunting around. We can get rid of messes like this with a couple of minutes of work:
Hi All,
You can delete roads but from my experiance don’t modify it 99% it will be rejected.
Regards,
Unfortunately, I’m not well versed in coding changes of this sort. Perhaps @gncnpk can suggest some language adjustments. I’d think you would just copy/paste the arabic text over the English translation in the coding. Perhaps even drop the code into Gemini and ask it to do the translations for you ![]()
Yes, the rejection rate is very high, but don’t be discouraged. It’s not zero! Every bad road we manage to remove is just as helpful as one we add. Keep at it.
Hi @JustJake ,
Yes its only copy past from the extension editor. I mentioned the lines in original post.
Regards,

Following your advice @JustJake, I’m reposting this here:
I can confirm that mapping in my own country gets me quicker approvals, but I live in a small well-mapped country so there isn’t much to map.
Another user suggested to map in his country - Bangladesh. I did not get good results there.
@SholaIB suggested there were parts of Nigeria where many roads could be drawn. My success there was moderate.
Another user suggested Yemen worked well for him. That seems to work for me too.
Then I tried India, as the Indians seem to have the best results. I’m happy to report that I recently got a lot of approvals there.
These are my findings, but I don’t know if it will be the same everyone else.
I’m noticing the same thing, however, I’m mapping different types of roads in the US; walking paths and parking lots. I don’t want to give up mapping in other countries because that work really aligns with one of TRAC’s main tenets: connecting remote places to the Map. It’s still a bit disheartening to have thousands of pending edits within the 90-day window in other countries, but I’m really getting amped over how quickly and frequently my US edits are being approved.
I’ve done local parking lots in Waze - somehow never thought of doing them in Google maps. I’m yet to get going with walking paths, but thanks for the reminder.
It is quite a rush, isn’t it!? ![]()
NIce thought @anhcauduong67. I’m seeing improvement too, but my approval emails don’t make a sound. ![]()
I have a filter sending all Google Maps emails to separate Gmail labels on arrival, and filtered emails don’t generate notifications. I check a few times each day visually, and am really happy when I see new “Accepted” messages.
great picture!
I remember when in 2024 we were sharing nice and strange images we were finding while “hunting roads”.
A great park bench!
Ciao
Yes @anhcauduong67, I’m also drawing roads in India and don’t live there either. Getting very good results with those roads being accepted.
I will start with mapping in your country of residence. That seems to work this year 2026, but I am often not in my own country as you all know. The country I am in now, isn’t open to adding roads. I am in Benin Republic. Anyone wants to try it out and see.
Jake and @PrasadVR seems to get some reasonable approvals rate though, otherwise I have realised that the oldies on adding roads aren’t getting a reasonable level of approvals. I have also realised that most local guides from India are getting on ok. Although we want to be able to prove all these in Facts and figures!!!
@MarcoDavoli and @Lukas_B and I aren’t getting any reasonable level of approvals. I have added roads in the USA without any reasonable level of approvals. @Kumaarsantosh suggested Morroco. I am currently trying there now. Maybe 300 roads and not one approval from it. Therefore I hardly know what the problem is. I am really not asking for much suggestions, as the team are working on it, I hope.
@anhcauduong67 I believe generally your geographical location shouldn’t affect your road edit activities. If you follow the rules, you should be able to draw roads anywhere in the world. That’s not official from, Google mind you it’s from a TRAC Captain Lol. Whatever works for you is the way to go on adding roads. Keep trying and experimenting and discovering and sharing.
I am still adding roads even though I haven’t even gotten 100 approvals since we started. I have maybe 1500 pending maybe more.
@khmansour1 Thanks for your findings. It’s good and Interesting. Whatever your findings are, please give everyone a chance to decide to use it or not.
This is a voluntary activity. No one is forced or pushed to use any particular programming or method. Please keep your findings or suggestions low.
Keep motivated everyone ![]()

@JustJake
Thank you for the encouragement.
I’ll keep contributing even if all my applications are not accepted. I’ve been denied by almost 10 places, even though I was standing right there on the spot at the time. ![]()
I thought of you as soon as I saw it ![]()
