Sounds interesting @Anino . What is an open-air cemetery?

In ancient times, the Zoroastrians did not bury the bodies of their deceased, but exposed them on these sacred towers so that they were devoured by vultures, and thus returned to life without defiling the earth.

Zoroastrianism is still practiced in the Yadz region.

:blush: Hi @Anino thank you for your nice photos and shared materials… And perfect explanations about ancient traditions

:+1: :pray: :blush:

I am an Iranian, and it seems you know my country better than me :smiley:

I appreciate your interest about Iran and if you let me, I would like to ask how many times you have visited Iran?

Do you have any connection to Iran, or just you like to know about historical countries?

Thank you in advanced and best wishes :pray: :blush: :+1:

@Navid_Ebdaei Hello !

Thanks for your comment. We visited your beautifull country in 2018 mai , with a small french group (8). I hope to return as soon as possible ! I visited Uzbekistan twice, and wished to see Iran, (It was for long the same country was’nt it?) We were surprised by the warm Iranese hospitality. Now, I have three correspondents in Iran on Whatsapp. You can load and read the narration of the journey on my blog anino.fr. The tour operator is French and Iranese. It was so beautifull ! Merci ! Au revoir !

@Navid_Ebdaei Thank you for your reply ! So, I have to visit also Armenia, Tadjikistan and Pakistan ! But first, when this old virus will be eradicated, I have to return to Tehran. In 2018, it was the end of Nowruz, and all the museums were closed !
