Celebrating Creative Store Fronts A Tribute to Small Business Owners

We have come across many small business owners, with passion and creativity shine through in every aspect, from store fronts to services they offer. To celebrate this uniqueness, I propose the “Creative Store Front Challenge” with our Local Guide family, in support of @TusharSuradkar sir Reviving the Art of Storefront Photo Walk Solo Meetups and @AjitThite sir’s #DilSeLocal challenge .

Guidelines:

• Not only fancy lights or decorations required
• Simple yet one-of-a-kind designs encouraged
• Sustainable or green designs welcome

Here are a few creative store fronts I’ve discovered in Madurai City:

1. B2B Bazar - They are one of the leading Auto Spare Parts Dealers (Tuk Tuk - Three Wheeler), Their storefront with two real autos is one of the most unique things I have ever seen. And they have become a landmark place because of this idea. Also, their range of products and prices are very competitive.

2. Cine Suvai Restaurant - Indians are emotionally connected with movies, it has been a part of our life. This business owner has taken that lifeline as an idea and designed the entire restaurant into a Cinema-based theme. I’ll do a separate story of this place in detail near future.

3. Altaj Shoe Company - This one old shoe shop which is still located near my college, I used to admire its signage and appreciate myself about the creativity of this shop owner, even before two decades without so much technology evolution he has been able to invest and handcraft one huge shoe in his name board which I have never seen in any of the places. Note:- Now the shop’s board reminds that the shoe has been removed after damages.

Storefronts are very important photo of any shop on Google Maps. It gives a clear picture of the products and display, decor etc. Creative facades are a great decor ideas and it will be a fun to Ahre some pics here.

One of the most creative and entertaining storefronts I came across was in Japan, where this restaurant specializes in seafood, especially crabs.

They have installed a large crab on their storefront.
That is not all. The limbs of the crab have linkages attached to motors, and it moves its limbs continuously.

It looks both interesting and a bit scary.
A unique example of a food item attracting customers to eat it. Sad.
