旗山武德殿：台灣的日本武道館
悠久歷史，雖然之前因為大火而重建過！仍然具有一定的歷史意義
武德殿位於鼓山山腳下，創建於昭和九年(西元一九三四年)，為日治時代為發揚武術道德所建。建築物為仿唐式宮殿建築，樑柱為鋼筋混凝土加強磚仿木結構，外牆洗石子。屋架為木造結構，屋頂為歇山頂，屋脊平直，屋頂的曲線平緩，鋪以日式黑瓦。斗拱壯碩，不施彩繪。入口玄關屋頂之山間朝前，為唐博風式造型。殿內鋪有木板與榻榻米，木板部份以供練習劍道，榻榻米部份以供練習柔道。整棟建築顯得清雅肅穆，所有木造部分皆以台灣檜木為材料，更為珍貴。
The building looks impressive.
I admire the fact that they rebuilt it in concrete but retained the classical architectural style.
