Hey guys, just wanted to get up-to-date info on good aquariums, fish stores in the area. I’ve been in the hobby for a while now and the stores seem to come and go. Also there is always some insider info LFS in your area that the rest of us might not know. (i.e. do they quarintine their fish, how the customer service, who to ask for help, who to avoid, what’s the mortality rate of their fish, etc.) So I’ll start.

California Reef: Go to for coral (not fish) & help

Neptune Aquatics: Totally worth the drive. Best customer service, improved pricing, awesome store

Aquatic Collection: Avoid at all costs (Awesome at the outset, rude owner, doesn’t care about customers)

Bay Bridge Aquarium and Pet: Good up and coming though selection smaller. Great for cheaper supplies.
