Top 100 Local Guides Reviews (February, 2026)

Well done @LingLing Keep guiding and keep achieving and do make sure that like for a number of other metrics, you follow the recommendation mentioned here regarding the use of the Google Maps app to check and update your review counts at least once each month.

Yes 2 good points that you mention @WilfriedB. First, the metric labels are shown in your own language and secondly, the red warning your given when and where you need it - at the point of data entry. This will help you realize your typos before committing your data and will hopefully also save having to repost the leaderboards after correcting such errors.

Hello @09halu, you need to go to the Data Entry tab, then select Maps Data on the dropdown menu.

Bonjour,

Bonjour @claude_richard

Lines 18 through 25 (badge and review) must always be added manually, since they only appear in the smartphone app and scout cannot retrieve them for us.

This works fine for me:

Can you make a screenshot what happens, if you try to enter more than four digits? I only entered the digits. The thousands separators are added automatically. That is, a period (.) is added during typing, because of German number format and a comma (,) shows after saving.

Thanks for the screenshot and finding a workaround @claude_richard! Hopefully @AdamGT finds the cause

Annoying teething problems with the new UI @claude_richard but as @WilfriedB has mentioned, it’s good that you found a workaround and importantly, that you tried the new system now rather than during the 11th hour end of month update period.

Not that it might help you in this case (badge data) but an even simpler workaround which I myself sometimes use with large numbers like photoviews, is to copy the number directly on Maps and paste it into the T100 System. Anyhow, I have had a look at the data entry screen again so have another go and et us know how you go.

Thanks for jumping in to help here Wilfried.

That would work for those who are using phone only @AdamGT, but I understand @claude_richard to be reading the badge data from the phone and entering it into the chart on desktop as I would normally do.

Oh I wasn’t sure how @claude_richard was using the new system @tony_b but anyway, I hope I have fixed that bug. Will wait to hear back from him.

In the meantime, did you got yours going? Did the old PC come good? Did you try the other alternative methods on both the work laptop and home PC? I’d be interested to know.

@AdamGT and @tony_b, I do it often even between phone and PC. MyPhoneExplorer allows me for copy and paste between Android and Windows in both directions. I use it often to enter the captions.

When @claude_richard mentioned copy/paste, I immediately had the idea to do so for badge data too! However, the reason why it doesn’t work for badge data is the Maps app. Unlike many other apps on the toy, at that point it does not allow to copy the numbers, as I tried it yesterday.

thanks @AdamGT it’s working now

Yes @AdamGT, it worked on the old PC, and then of course I’m seeing that result when I access the site on the work PC. That’s not a dependable option though, as it often doesn’t work for days or weeks at a time.

Yes, I tried the alternative method on both laptops and it doesn’t look quite right. Points went down by about 300, while all else remained the same.

At this point it appears that manual entry would be my best bet.

You’re the real tech guru around here @WilfriedB. I had no idea this was a possibility. Now please tell us how.

I don’t consider myself a guru @tony_b, but the first time I saw and worked with a computer is more than half a century ago. SO, I had time enough to learn

In my Windows PC, I use a free tool called MyPhoneExplorer, it allows to do 99% of all you can do on Android to perform on your PC, provided, they are close to each other. The connection can be via WLAN, USB or Bluetooth.

Mainly by synchronizing calendar, address book and other information with the PC, but there are also hotkeys Copy clipboard from PC to phone and Copy clipboard from phone to PC. The former is the one I use most frequently just by typing into a text editor, copy to phone and then pasting where it needs to go. But you also can type directly into the phone, i.e. while you type on the PC keyboard, you can see letter by letter arriving on the screen of the phone.

As far as I know, meanwhile Windows 10 has similar capabilities, but I never looked into details what the difference might be.

As example of today, within 15 minutes I copied the name of six dishes from the photo[1] of the menu list and pasted it as captions to the photos uploaded an hour earlier.

  1. To copy text from a photo, I use the Windows Power Toys.

Thank you. I’ve bookmarked this for action at a later date. As said earlier, my home laptop malfunctions, and I don’t want to attempt too many more experiments on my work laptop.
