Congratulations @Annaelisa on getting your photo featured. It looks great.
thanks for recognising my contributions
I’m actually shocked I’m first. Glad I’m able to make an impact. Thanks for sharing.
This brings up an interesting question. If people strive for greater average views, do you think it is a good idea to periodically check super low photo views after a couple months and delete them? Or just let things ride.
Sometimes Maps might out of nowhere make that photo a featured photo. I have seen it happen.
Perhaps anything over 6 months, under 100 views can be deleted. Just curious what you all do. It’s an interesting point.
Congrats on that top position @rmackman. Keep up the good work.
It’s a beautiful cover image @Annaelisa, I love birds & enjoy photographing them
@AdamGT has a good eye ![]()
This has come up for discussion previously @StevenBerlin, and there’s no common ground on it. I think it was @TerryPG that had a very strict formula to determine which low performers to delete. I started to follow the same line, though a bit less stringent, but I often forget to go back and check for many months.
Yes I’ve seen some photos gather momentum after a very slow start, but that’s usually after a few weeks, not months or years. Therefore there are definitely some non-performers that will never do anything after sitting there idle for so long.

@Annaelisa Great photo and congrats on being featured.
Thanks as always @AdamGT for these leaderboards, I love the term you used " new frontier" for videos, it certainly is.

Well done @darrencummins and @rmackman, you join the Leaderboards and make a real splash! Even though there’s a problem with your Brick-in-the-wall on your signature, it’s good to see that you’ve had a go at adding it Ryan. I think the best way to fix this is to:
- Visit your profile
- Delete everything in the My Signature field
- Visit the Leaderboard System and from the WoF Signature section of the System Profiles, get a fresh copy of your unique Brick in the Wall signature and follow the instructions there to re-add it onto your profile.
Give a shout-out if you need a hand.
Darren, you should also think about adding this to your signature.
@StevenBerlin , It’s an interesting question—sorry for the delayed reply. As @tony_b mentioned, there have been discussions on Connect, but no clear consensus. Some Local Guides delete low-performing photos, while others keep them. Personally, I review my photos periodically but mainly remove only hidden ones.
Before reading @AdamGT’s new topic, “just let things ride.” was always my philosophy for exactly the same reason as given by @StevenBerlin!
Same here. However, hidden photos because of deleted places, I do not delete! If it is a historic place, I appeal for restoring it, for a business, I just leave it as it is. Only if I made mistake by posting a duplicate or showing something, I don’t want to publish, or I have an indication, the SPAM filter did hide it and an appeal either wasn’t accepted or seems useless, I delete my photo.
