It’s great to see that you like the Movers & Shakers leaderboards @anon24291235 and we look forward to seeing you on them next year. After seeing the 2024 edition you will no doubt pick up some tips on how to make sure that you are.
Thank you for your kind words of appreciation @Annaelisa. There is considerable nous and effort to create all of the different leaderboards with their intricate cross relationships and features but what makes this all worthwhile is seeing the benefits that they have in inspiring and motivating Local Guides to make better quality contributions on Maps and achieve better outcomes in terms of the various metrics and resulting impact on their communities.
And you yourself have to be congratulated on being right up there amongst the “champion” contributors. You are somewhat one of those quiet achievers but there you are, right up there with a power group of champion contributors. Well done you!
How sweet it is indeed @JustJake to see such a spread of Local Guides being recognized for their contributions and not only those at the BIG end of the Local Guides program. Your yourself have made an impressive appearance on these boards, so well done Jake.
LOL @shaileno but I do hope that you will be one of the special badge recipients. We’ll know very soon after all the final numbers are counted. I am a little prejudiced but I must tell you it’s a beautiful badge. I just know that you will love it. But I do have to tell you that I am very sad because it looks like I won’t be awarded this special badge
I should have at least checked one or two facts. How silly that I didn’t LOL.
Thank you @Kumaarsantosh for your very kind words of appreciation and well done on you yourself being one of the champion contributors throughout 2024. Everyone is talking about you ![]()
I always had the feeling that these leaderboards would contain a number of pleasant surprises @Kumaarsantosh and the nice spread in both the names of the Local Guide 2024 Movers & Shakers and nature of the contributions that they have excelled in. Once again well done on being one of those champions.
Thank you for your appreciation @PrasadVR and well done you on being one of the champion 2024 contributors. While you’re currently at #8 on the champions board and that could change marginally when the proper order of the equal frequency count is taken into account, you are certainly up there. Well done Prasad.

motivating and engaging many Local Guides.
[/quote] comes core to the purpose of these leaderboards Prasad.
Thanks @MarkAuchincloss and so true, regardless of your Local Guide stripes there’s always a route and space on the Leaderboards for recognition of one’s contributions as a Local Guide.
Don’t worry, sir @AdamGT I’ll keep roaming in many places, for the finding of badge /lapel pin that suits your personality, whichever enhances your personality, i will gift you. ![]()
Herzlichen Dank
ich freue mich sehr @AdamGT ![]()
OMG @AdamGT , I can only imagine the amount of work/time you put into this, thanks ever so much as these movers & shakers leaderboards for 2024 are so interesting, I thought I might have made it onto (Leaderboard #2406) user error probably from reading them wrong, again thanks a million & you deserve a long rest now
Peadar
A truly commendable work, @AdamGT !
As someone has already said, it is nice to see countless lists that certify the commitment of many Local Guides to make the world less unknown, thanks to photos seen by millions of people and reviews that express evaluations of places near and far.
And I am proud to be in these rankings too, monitoring monthly my “Star Photo” (which unfortunately has not recorded increases in views for ten months now) and my “Star 360 Photo”, which this month has started to record an increase in views again…
And I am also amazed by the work of @MarcoDavoli, with his unreachable 1.3 million points in a year: truly the most sincere compliments!
And sincere congratulations also to all the other Local Guides, whether they are present or not in the rankings: the beauty is not in the finish line, but in the journey undertaken.
Warm greetings to everyone from Rome, Italy
Yes these things do take time @Peadar but the rewards and benefits make up for that. I’m so glad that you also find these Movers & Shakers leaderboards interesting. They certainly do tell you a lot in terms of who has been out there doing what when it comes guiding. So what makes you think that you might have made it onto Leaderboard #2406? Have I made a mistake, if so, show me some evidence ![]()
Thank you for your appreciation @AT_Rome and indeed you should be proud to be in these rankings. It’s also great to hear that your Star 360 Photo has started to record an increase in views again.
Oh yes the work of the likes of @MarcoDavoli is nothing short of amazing. It’s just so hard to even imagine it as a possibility but there you are, he did it.
is good to hear that @AT_Rome is proud to be in the ranking.
We do love what we (all) are doing and me have to - must be - proud of our work.
As you said there is. no limit to our activities… 100.000 new roads added in a huge number and I can’t still believe that I was able to hit.
Thanks again for your Top 100
Marco
I’m only coming back to you now @AdamGT as I can no longer reply on LGC on my phone, nope I don’t think you made a mistake & probably it’s me reading the leaderboards wrongly,
Am I correct in your “how to read the leaderboards (C) the delta views” that Sarah started 2024 on 20m views & finished up at the end of 2024 on 30m views so her total views gained over 2024 were 10m views (Delta Views)
It sounds simple ![]()
Thanks
Peadar
That’s correct Paedar. Simple arithmetic, subtracting the beginning number from the ending number.
That said @tony_b ![]()
I was really surprised to be on so many of these boards, Adam. You are correct that adding roads gave me that extra jump in points. I earned almost as many points in 2024 as I’d earned in total for the 8 preceding years.
Also didn’t expect to be on the Star Photo board as my views have been stuck for almost the whole year. The small increase between January and February before the crash was all that got me in.
