I’m happy to share that I received this badge unexpectedly today—especially since it was announced just a few days ago! A big thank you to the Google team & Connect Moderator @AdamGT, for this wonderful recognition. You truly make the community experience special 
There are two things about this badge that I genuinely appreciated and would love to highlight:
1. Transparency & Trust in the Community
When @AdamGT announced the badge on Connect, he gave the community 3 full days to review the data and report any corrections if needed. This clearly reflects how much transparency and accuracy matter to our community—and how seriously Google values community feedback.
Quoting from his post, which perfectly captures this spirit of sustainability and trust:
“We want this list to be perfect before the 2025 Movers & Shakers badges are officially awarded by Google. Transparency is our priority…”
This approach truly reinforces the idea that Local Guides Connect is a sustainable community 
2. Speedy Recognition – Right on Time!
The badge was delivered to our profiles within a week of the preliminary announcement, and remarkably, within 24 hours of the final results announcement. That’s impressive—and probably a record!
As a teacher, I’ve often taught the concept of “Rewards and Punishment” in Educational Psychology. One key learning is that rewards are most effective when given promptly. Delayed recognition often loses its impact.
From that perspective, this badge delivery was highly effective and meaningful—a textbook example of best practice in motivation and appreciation.

I wasn’t disappointed that I didn’t get the badge last year Prasad. In fact, I didn’t expect it. I just wasn’t able to put in the time to be worthy of it and honestly, I only just scraped in this year. Well done on your double award. Two years in a row in the top class is an amazing achievement.
