As what I described in my last post, Tokyo is one of the top destinations to visit for a foodie. In Part I, the types of food in those restaurants are more authentic and traditional, so I will recommend some modern and trendy dishes in Part II.
For me, I love Japanese food, whether it is authentic or fusion. The reasons why I love it so much are its delicacy and deliciousness. I also admire the way Japanese people run their business, they devote their life and try to bring the best to all the customers.
Japanese Curry
Rojiura Curry Samurai is a hidden spot in Kichijoji area and they serve the best soup curry I have ever had. The veggies in the curry vary every day based on seasonality and the freshness in the market in order to keep the quality.

Seafood
Tsukiji Saito’s Fish Market is one of the must-visit places when tourists visit Tokyo, especially for seafood lovers. The market is lively and crowded from early morning since everyone tries to get the freshest sushi & sashimi or ingredients.
There are lots of interesting and trendy street food, traditional Japanese, fusion style of western food…etc.

Soup with Rice Ball
MISOJYU is super popular among my friends in Tokyo but seats are limited so there is always a line even on weekdays.
Everything is astonishingly amazing, especially the white miso soy & scallop potage. It was delicious, thick and rich but not greasy at all. There was a great amount of ingredients with a variety braised in the soup as a healthy and light set. We also love their plain tofu, one of the sides in the set, the best tofu I have ever had in my life, super soft and creamy.

French and Japanese Fusion
Morceau is French, which means “piece, small bite” and I think it is adorable. The chef 秋元さくら is really famous in Japan and she published a recipe about how to cook French dishes at home. Their food is fusion inspired by French & Japanese, delicate and delicious, especially for their famous juicy beef patty with creamy sauce.

Japan is a country we will plan to visit again and again due to its friendly people, charming culture and most importantly, the food.
