Three Restaurant Experiences in Çorum: Honest Reviews

Three Restaurant Experiences in Çorum: Honest Reviews

In this post, I’d like to share my personal impressions of three different restaurants I tried in Çorum. Each one came with different expectations — but the results… let’s just say they were mixed.

1. İkinci Bahar Restaurant – Çevre Yolu Branch :round_pushpin:

A newly opened restaurant. I specifically tried regional kebab options like Çorum tandır (tandoor). Honestly, I found them very average. There was nothing particularly special about the flavor, and the portion sizes were quite small. The menu overall felt weak and unimpressive. For me, this place was below average. Still, since it’s located right off the Samsun road, it might serve as a convenient stop for travelers.

2. Şöhretler Aspava Restaurant :round_pushpin:

Aspava is one of the much-anticipated names in Çorum, and we visited it with high hopes. We tried their special “SSK Dürüm” dish. Unfortunately, the meat inside the wrap was tough and lacked flavor. While there were various appetizers (meze), they didn’t add much to the experience. We didn’t enjoy the meal or the ambiance. Despite the hype, this visit turned out to be a disappointment for us.

  1. Aldente Macaroni – Çorum :round_pushpin:

This pasta-focused place is located in the city center. While the concept is promising, the execution left much to be desired. The sauces were weak, the cream lacked richness, and the prices were unnecessarily high. For what I paid, the portions weren’t satisfying or thoughtfully prepared. In short, I didn’t feel it was worth the money.

Being centrally located, this restaurant is easily accessible to everyone — not just a “select few.” :wheelchair_symbol: However, in terms of taste and satisfaction, it simply didn’t meet my expectations. :prohibited:

Kebabs :stuffed_flatbread: are among the things I eat most in takeaways, but I’ve never had the opportunity to try the best in the world in Turkey.
