I’m sure every regular Google Maps user is more than familiar with the scourge of Google Maps, namely the enormous number of irrelavant and unhelpful photos that have been uploaded all over the site. I live in a tourist area so there must be thousands of random and completely irrelevant photos uploaded for places local to me. However, quite often these are good quality photos, but for whatever reason, they’ve ended up being posted to the wrong place.
Currently the only real option in these cases is to report that the photo has been posted to the wrong place in the (usually forlorn) hope that Google will remove it. However I’m wondering if Google might consider an additional option that would allow users to report that a photo has been posted to the wrong place so that it can be transferred to the correct place?
I’m not a computer programmer/developer so I don’t how feasible this would be, but a certain other well-known review site has had this option for years (and it actually works on odd occasions). Obviously there’d still need to be a option to report selfies, dog photos, etc for deletion!
