Thien Mu Pagoda, also known as Linh Mu Pagoda, is an ancient pagoda located on Ha Khe hill, left bank of the Huong River, about 5 km west of Hue city center. Thien Mu Pagoda was officially established in 1601, the life of Tien Nguyen Hoang.

Lord Nguyen Hoang’s big thought seems to be in tune with the will of the people. In 1601 erected a pagoda on the hill, facing the Huong River, named “Thien Mu”. With natural beauty and expanded Scale right from that time, Thien Mu Pagoda has become the most beautiful pagoda in the land of Dan Trong. Through many historical events, restored and rebuilt many times during the reign of the Nguyen kings.

7 floors of Thien Mu Pagoda.

Phuoc Duyen Tower is a famous symbol associated with Thien Mu Pagoda. The 21M high tower, consisting of 7 floors, was built in front of the pagoda in 1844. Each floor of the stupa has a statue of Buddha. Inside there is a spiral staicrase leading to the top floor, where there was previously a golden Buddha statue.

Thien Mu Pagoda is classified as one of the 20 Nerve Land Landscapes At the end of garden is the tower tomb of the late Venerable Thich Dun Hau, the famous abbot of Thien Mu Pagoda, who devoted his life to selfish activities.
