Today I have over a million and a half views in the photos I’ve uploaded. They are pictures of the place, the food, the people.
How important is this?
There is a Chinese proverb that says “An image speaks more than a thousand words”. I believe that the act of photography provides communication, and millions of interpretations can be revealed. And a frozen record of a moment can bring us lots of memories and, in the case of Local Guides, information.
I can instead of just commenting on the outside area of a restaurant, take a photo:
