Hello everyone,
Every year since 2016 I traveled to Europe and spent summer there.
Starting in 2018 I tried exciting ways to enjoy European nature. Road trip and camping (is a wild camping actually).
I and a fellow local guide @PHER traveled through these 9 different countries; Netherlands - Belgium - Luxembourg - France - Italy - Andorra la vella - Spain - Germany - Denmark.
On this trip we reached 6.749 km (4.194 Miles). We moved to new places every day without knowing the place where we stayed at night. Where we go and where we stopped is just randomly on the go. Sometimes we were just sleeping inside the car in the middle of nowhere. Yes, this is absolutely freedom.
One of the great things to do on a road trip is to be able to swim in nature. South of Europe has the best place for it. I made this list Amazing nature swimming places in France
On that hot day we stopped for a dip Gorges de la Méouge
Swim in a beautiful lake Lac de Serre-Ponçon , Écrins National Park.
Enjoy surroundings Lac du Pontet , cold it was hiking up in the late afternoon to reach this beautiful lake in Écrins National Park.
Pont du Gard , I came early morning to this place via unusual access. It opens at 10 a.m. and usually crowded in the afternoon. Many people were kayaking and swimming in Gordon river.
We really enjoyed drive through some National Parks and Natural Regional Parks in Europe. Got the idea to share about it from @StephenLammens went to USA National Parks after Connect Live 2019.
.
Verdon Natural Regional Park - Impressed by winding roads, green valleys, rocky ridges and the stunning blue colours of the lake and of course Verdon Gorge.
Pyrénées National Park
Wildlife all around Naut Aran
Reserve Bisons Margeride Europe
Écrins National Park - Nothing but an awesome sight! Col du Lautaret
I created own maps at Google My Maps
Had a road trip for 13 days to the south and 6 days to the north.
Very lucky when in Paris, got promo in hotel Belambra Hôtel “Magendie” . Pretty decent hotel with only 33 Euros/night. Thanks, could save the budget !!
Mont Saint-Michel in Normandy.
When in Germany and Denmark, we stayed in a proper campground. Moved from one campground to another is very easy to find it on Google Maps. Have tried finding the best one and considering reviews from other local guides. For me it mean Reciprocal relationship with Google Maps .
Wonderful place to be visited Rubjerg Knude lighthouse in Denmark.
Hope to do a road trip and camping again this year and wish CL2020 application will be selected.
Then can go to USA National Parks as @StephenLammens did last year ?.
Let’s hope that this strange time will be over soon.
I hope you all enjoyed my post and keep adventurous as Local Guides!!
Stay safe,
Efendi
