Taiwan is a small island but there have more than 2/3 of the area is mountainous region. There have 268 peaks with an elevation higher than 3000 meters.
Mt. Nanhu Main Peak, with elevation 3740 meters, here is a famous mountainous trail and easy to visit in northern Taiwan.
The picture was taken in Oct. 10, 2019. The weather was cloudy and rainy when we departed from Nanhu Cabin. But when we climbing up, I realize that we already reach over the top of could.
The climbing trail of Mt. Nanhu is administered by Taroko national park. To summit, organizing a 3 ~ 4 days trip is recommended. Visitors can stay at Nanhu Cabin one night for preparing to submit.
After watching your photos the first word from my mouth is WOW! Just wow! Thank you so much @PHWang for sharing this lovely place. I always prefer to travel to the mountains than any other place. Mountains have always attracted me a lot.
Your photo looks like paradise on Earth. I would love to visit this place in the near future.
My state West Bengal also has places like Darjeeling, Kalimpong - from where the majestic Kanchenjunga (third highest peak of the world) of great Himalayan range is visible. You are always welcome to visit Kolkata, India.
