Beforw the break and the world’s scrum to deadly killer and keep home, wash hands and the sanitize disease, we had chance with Alec Jacobson to trek into the lost shore areas of lake Victoria the second largest freshwater body in Uganda.
I know many of you here just see Uganda and the shores of lakes on TV but this was one of the best Camera shots taken by my phone then.
Kasensero, a far area away from Kampala where even its own natives fear to associate with just because the then and continuing world killer king had copyrighted the area.
The people here survive when they spend their nights in the waters while catching fish and in the morning they land them on the shores to fuel, have rest, get food and prepare for the next evening fishing trek.
The shores hold about 100000 people that side of the lake feeds. Not everyone is a fisherman, but directly and indirectly gets milk from fishing.
The place also is known for its awesome people who are highly friendly and hospitable.
The most interesting part of the story is that all the boats on the shores there, are made by the local people with the paintings and colours according to the customer’s interest.
While there, the views of the shores while stocked with boats both in the morning and evening will leave you with no option but to take advantage of your phone camera if not your real camera.
They are that awesome.
