The stunning beauty of Pavagadh hills

It’s been a long time since we took a break from the plans. After all, we’ve been at home for the last few months because of the Covid 19 pandemic. So, this Sunday, we decided to take a much-needed break. We have planned a day picnic, which includes not only relaxation and fun activities! During these days nature is the best place to visit. A day with nature gives us energy, positivity, and fresh air.

Dear friends, now fun started from here…

To enjoy a day, we decided to go to the Pavagadh hills. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in the Panchmahal district, considered as a holy religious pilgrimage and natural beauty of the state of Gujarat.

The Pavagadh Hill has a historical fort were at the highest point of this beautiful mountain, at an altitude of about 760 m, rests the temple of Kalika in the form of Shakti. There are steps as well as a rope-way to reach the temple.

We had selected to climb the 1000 steps to enjoy nature. However, with the start of monsoon, the natural beauty of the place has flourished. The weather was very pleasant due to the rainy season, so our trip was really enjoyable. Trekking, relaxation, fun, and enjoyment. It was truly a wonderful one-day picnic and a much-needed break for us.

Nature is at its best in monsoons and your pictures bring out the best in it.

Hope you had a great time at the hills station. How much time does it take from Ahmedabad to reach there?

It was pleasing to read your recap of the Pavagadh hill trek @NareshDarji
The cloudy ambiance is amply visible in the photos. Joined with eye-catching greenery, that must have been a delightful trek.
How much time does it take to reach the top? Are the steps well laid out? Anyway, one can always use the rope-way, but then that would deprive the fun of walking through nature.

Also, are there any tourist-friendly facilities inside the fort?

There are 1000 steps to reach top of hill around 1 hour walk. 2 way Steps are well designed by authorities. Hill fort is totally ruined now but it’s good place for Photographers.
