The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa is a contemporary art museum located at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa. It is the largest museum of contemporary African art in the world. The Old Grain Silos were converted into a Hotel and Art Gallery
The building, which has been unused since 2001, has seen its exterior redesigned by Heatherwick studio, who began working on the scheme in 2013. the London-based firm was tasked with the transformation of the elevator house and the adjacent storage annex of six rows of seven silos. the brief also required that the building retained its cultural significance, while creating a design that would become synonymous with the south African city. the silo’s amenities include spa and gym facilities, a rooftop restaurant and swimming pool, and private meeting and dining rooms.

The building in itself is a piece of art, with its geometric glass windows and dissected inner columns, the inside of the museum houses the largest collection of contemporary African art on the continent, and also plays host to a number of international exhibitions from around the world on a regular basis. They even have a Zeitz MOCAA Food on the 6th floor, a restaurant where fine dining is treated as an art form.
