The pork knuckle is a special german dish. In Düsseldorf, we have very good ones in several breweries. I tried so many of them in all over Germany and due to this I am very sophisticated when it comes to this dish. For several years my favourite one was the knuckle of Hotel Nuss in Grainau. But last year on a trip i found a little bit better one at Brauereigasthof Rothenbach in Aufseß. Later I even changed my holiday route to there to have it one more time. Unfortunately they have it only on saturdays - guess what: it wasn´t saturday!
