The rewarding system is faulty

Happy Christmas local guides from the world over.

I am a level 9 local guide from Lagos Nigeria.

I have a feeling that the reward system in the Google Local Guides program is not straightforward,

How can you send people gift without caring if the gift ever get delivered?

I have put in over four years and have been very active in the past 2 years,

The time, Internet data costs and creativity I have invested into uploading up to 3000 photos, over 400 reviews and adding over 2000 places on the map can not be sufficiently rewarded with a pair of socks, that being even insignificant, I still never got.

It pains me actually because I love helping to make the maps rich

@Anakor_Jeremiah hola espero estés bien y cuidándote. Feliz Navidad !!! Tampoco me llega el sistema de recompensa o de logros. Pero es más importante lo que cada uno de nosotros aportamos a la Comunidad sin esperar nada a cambio, no corresponde puesto que pretendemos ayudar a los demás en forma desinteresada. Lo otro es simplemente un mimo al ego, que a veces necesitamos, pero solo eso. Mi satisfacción está en que si una opinión, una foto o una reseña ayudó a alguien, es misión cumplida y siento alegría por haberlo hecho.

@ErmesT thanks for passing by, I would think that @user_not_found can chose to congratulate me on contribution and not necessarilly joining issues with my opininon on the rewarding system, If you look at it that way, you could be less harsh on him.

You are indeed a gentleman, @Anakor_Jeremiah , congratulations.

However, when a behaviour is repeated, I try to educate people, because many times a reply is dropped down without reading a post.

Regarding your issue, maybe is a bit late to try, but in any case there is a form to fill if you haven’t received a claimed perk.

“If it has been longer than 6 weeks from when you ordered your perk, please go to the FAQs **page on the redemption website, and input your unique code into the “What can I do about a missing or damaged item” and submit. Our shipping team will look into it and get back to you.”

I can’t thank you enough @ErmesT for your kind understanding in many things, and willingness to help out.

I was to claim the perk in June 2019 as I just level 6 around the previous month.

I will follow the clues you have provided, and I will continue to do my bit to make the map richer and more useful for users around the world.
