The Purple Pig, one of the most popular restaurants in Chicago, and it’s not difficult to guess that this restaurant is pretty confident with their pork dishes. Before my trip to Chicago, I did some research and googled something like “what to eat in Chicago” or “the must eat in Chicago”. Of course, there were millions of results found, and I had read many. Normally, when I was looking for gastronomy tips, I’d skip restaurants which have $$$ signs and may cost me more the 20 US dollars a meal cuz I was just a student and didn’t have much traveling budget. But this restaurant just showed up too many times and made me wonder how good it is, so I decided to go. I did have a high expectation before I went and was mentally prepared to be disappointed (you know, it happens sometimes), and I wasn’t. The staff is nice, the service is good, and the dishes are delicious. It’s indeed a satisfying meal ;)!

Wow, this is a mouth-watering post, @ChanneLing !
That milk-braised pork shoulder looks divine. Also loved those custom knives! How was that bone gravy?

Thanks! @JordanSB
The bone gravy is actually my favorite among all three cuz I love cheese and tomato, but frankly saying, I didn’t really taste the bone part which is bit pity :P.
If you want to try something special, the roasted bone marrow is a good choice ;).
