By far the most popular dish in Saudi Arabia is the broasted chicken offered by the famous Saudi fast food restaurant chain “Albaik.” This is Saudi Arabia’s largest fast food restaurant brand with more than 120 branches throughout the kingdom. Hundreds of people line up outside the many branches of this restaurant, waiting for their turn to buy the scrumptious fried chicken. Albaik specializes in broasted fried chicken with a variety of special sauces that are kept under wraps. The renowned restaurant chain was started in the 1970s by a local Saudi entrepreneur, and it only sold fried chicken at the time. The very first restaurant with a recognized trademark was established in the Jeddah province. Albaik have extended its branches throughout the kingdom by the end of 2020, as well as launched a few branches in Bahrain and the UAE, marking the first time a Saudi food restaurant brand has moved outside of Saudi Arabia. Albaik popularized chicken in the fast-food sector, particularly among Muslims, because it serves Halal cuisine.
The delicious fried chicken, also known as Broasted chicken in this region, comprises the distinctive Eighteen secret spices and herbs that were originally created in the 1980s and are still kept secretive as a trade secret. Variations of the spicy chicken and fried seafood are also available at the restaurant. Personally, I enjoy the flavor of a broasted meal, which includes four pieces of fried chicken, French fries, a bread, and two signature sauces. When compared to other foreign brands, the price of a broasted meal is fairly affordable, and an ALBAIK chicken spicy meal includes 1150 calories on average. This restaurant has three branches in my neighborhood and are located at these addresses:
