“Gegege no Kitaro” is an animation work that deals with Shigeru Mizuki’s original youkai. Gegege no Kitaro is a popular anime not only in Japan but all over the world.

Yonago Airport Station is about a 5minute walk from Yonago Kitaro Airport. YOKAI is also on the ceiling of the arrival lobby at Yonago Airport. It takes 4 stops from Yonago Airport Station to Sakaiminato Station, about 30 minutes. YOUKAI talks about announcements in the train.

I will travel to Tottori next month. I will go to the annual YOUKAI festival.

As an animator myself and a big manga fan I was so excited to read your post. I absolutely love Gegege no Kitaro (ゲゲゲの鬼太郎) and Dr. Slump (Dr.スランプ). Another gem in my wish list is now Sakaiminato Station as well among many others in Japan.

One more thing that captivated me is the delicious food especially the fresh crab meat one can enjoy by visiting the Maruhachi Suisan shop.

You are an animator. I highly recommend you to travel around Sakaiminato. Many of the cosplayers participate in Shigeru Mizuki’s birthday festival held in Sakaiminato every March.
