Not quite , but I believe you get my point.
However, when this Buffet is going to be hosted in Nigeria and for Nigerians, you need to take some precautionary measures which I will share with you shortly.
Dear Host,
Ensure these five dishes are included in your Main dishes setup and I am sure many Nigerians will agree with me;
- Jollof Rice - better not to host a Party in Nigeria than to exclude Jollof Rice; precisely; Nigerian Jollof Rice. Make e for no lost, if you try am, na you go chop your food by yourself, no bring your ‘carry dey do’ come the side of Nigerians o, dem no take Jollof play.
- Fried Rice; Nigerian Fried Rice
- Chicken/Fish particularly Croaker fish and Catfish (which is sometimes called Obokun or Eja Aro in Yoruba language)/Beef/Ponmo
- Moinmoin
- Coleslaw/Salad (vegetable or chicken sald depending on how much you are willing to splurge, ours is to eat with you and share in your joy
)
You can add other dishes as it pleases you, don’t forget to add, if it won’t be asking too much;
- Offals
- Fried Plantain
- Ofada Rice
- Chinese rice
- ‘Swallow’ or Okele like; Pounded Yam (called ‘Iyan’ in Yoruba language), Semovita, Fufu (called Akpu in South-Eastern Nigeria), Wheat Meal, Corn Meal, Eba/Garri, Amala, etc.
- Choice soups
After going through this list, you can tell why the event planners (who will in addition to planning your event help you contact and contract out catering for your event) are one of the richest in the country and why Caterers follow swiftly in this Wealth-claiming game. We love parties; lavish parties in Nigeria!
Well, still on my beautiful Friday walk, I was returning home, when I came across this small, but beautiful Fastfood joint; [KCS Foods](http://KCS%20Foods 45 Igando Rd, Ikotun, Lagos 0813 933 6905 Google Maps) and decided to take a peek.
My o My! It was ‘love-at-first-peek’, set right there before my eyes was the classic Nigerian Buffet! I decided to indulge and had numbers '1 to 4’ listed above.
I could not eat it that very night because of a reason I would share with you in another post.
In another post, I will share with you a Kitchen hack that made me enjoy it the next day, as fresh as, almost like I just had it cooked! What a meal it was!
Have you attended a party where the serving option was Buffet?
Okay, it was not a party? Was it at a Hotel with Complimentary Breakfast and lunch? Please share in the comments below.
Remember to share a place, you have to use Google maps and add it using the link option.
