This is Shovon Sarwar. Traveling is like an addiction to me. If I can’t go on a trip at least once a month, I feel myself abstract. I love natural and heritage places. I can refresh myself by touching the old. Staying at the end of my studies, I can’t find enough time to travel. Three days of week I travel to Dhaka from Bikrampur for my coaching. So I thought after the coaching let me visit the traditions and heritages sites of Dhaka.
At 2 PM, after coaching, I left Dhanmondi with my friend to visit Lalbagh Fort. We bought two ticket worth 30 taka per piece from the gate and entered the fort. I was impressed by the wonderful architecture and beautiful gardens around the fort.
Lalbagh Fort is an unfinished Mughal-era fort located at Lalbagh area in the southwestern part of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The fort was built in the mid-17th century by Prince Muhammad Azam Shah, the third son of Emperor Aurangzeb, and served as the residence and defense fort of the Mughal governor of Bengal. As Lalbagh Fort is a significant landmark of Bangladesh, it represents the country’s rich cultural heritage and serves as a testament to its enduring Mughal legacy.
I took several pictures after seeing Paribibi’s shrine, Hammam Khana and The Fort Museum. To look at the fort wall in the southeast corner, we imagine the same structure of Idrakpur Fort in Bikrampur. Lastly we entered Lalbagh Fort Jame Masjid.
It is inside the fort but has to be entered through a separate gate. The mosque is small and looked very beautiful. Two young boys were praying on the balcony of the mosque, which looked unusual. After walking around the fort and resting for about 1 hour, we finished the Lalbagh Fort tour and boarded the rickshaw, In search of the next heritage…

Hola @Shovonsarwar , se ve que tuviste un viaje de aventura y descubrimientos históricos, pudiste ingresar al interior del fuerte, sería muy lindo si nos compartieras algunas fotos de su interior y qué tipo de antigüedades viste en su interior. Por otro lado, la mesquita que mencionas es un templo de peregrinación que está alado del fuerte, forman parte de la misma estructura, compártenos una foto de su exterior
