As a local guide, I have had the opportunity to influence local merchants to improve their services, by giving detailed ā objective - updated reviews.
I feel great when I go back to a place, just to find out that they have changed for better, and how that improve the business, bringing more joy to their clients, even though those changes might not be fully driven by my reviews. However I always like recognizing enhancements by updating my reviews, mostly for places that I visit regularly, like the movie theater.
There are 2 movie theaters at my city, but we locals, often rather going to other bigger cities for entertainment. I used to, because most of the films at the local cinemas, were always dubbed in Spanish, as a cinephile I prefer to watch them in the original language, besides that, the service was not good. Of course, I expressed that on my Local Guide reviews, and somehow, I started seeing improvements, now I don*'*t have to leave the city for going to the movies, and Iām pretty sure I am not the only one, since I see more inflow of persons after the later changes. I have updated my reviews for every improvement I perceive, and it feels great going from 1 to 5 stars.
