During the summer of 2019, I visited Ring Road, which is one of the most interesting places in Ibadan.
A ring road is a road that goes around a large town or city. Ring Road has actually become a part of Ibadan. It serves as the central business district In Ibadan. It comprises of Oluyole, MKO Abiola way (name for a former presidental candidate one of the leading democratic activist in Nigeria while he was alive) and Ojo which are all connected by three roundabouts.
Oluyole road is a connecting road to Dugbe and Alesinloye markets, which are two of the biggest markets in Ibadan, it is linked to MKO Abiola way which is linked to Ojo road which approaches Lagos, the commercial capital of Nigeria.
I decided to make stops at some places that tourists can visit which turned out to be a fun day for me. Some of this places include;
Paris Bakery
I found this place to be somewhere to satisfy your cravings of foods and drinks, cakes and cookies, ice creams, pastries and more. Paris Bakery also has a shop where you could buy toys for kids and stationery.
FoodCo
A supermarket and eatery where you will find household things, foods and drinks, cosmetics and jewelry, to mention a few.
Palms Mall
The biggest mall in south western Nigeria with the biggest shoprite in West Africa.
There’s a cinema at the mall, children playground, a Game Center, many restaurants and boutiques.
Other landmarks at Ring Road include Ibadan high court, Mauve 21, Mantrac, Aqua Ebevande, Switch Lounge, DHL, Dominos Pizza and Cold stone.
From the number of views in my contributions to google maps, I’ve been able to help people locate these landmarks with ease while also having a very interesting experience.
