The Monument of the African Renaissance is a monumental group of 52 meters in bronze and copper [2] in Ouakam, a district of Dakar, on one of the two conical volcanic hills overlooking the Senegalese capital, Les Mamelles, the higher already carrying the lighthouse Mamelles.
The monument represents a couple and their child, raised to the sky. It is officially inaugurated on April 3, 2010 during the ceremonies of the fiftieth anniversary of the independence of Senegal.
