The Qutb Shahi Tombs, often referred to as “7 Tombs Park,” represent a magnificent necropolis housing the mausoleums of the Qutb Shahi dynasty’s rulers. Each tomb is a unique architectural marvel, reflecting the grandeur and artistic prowess of its era.

Starting with the “Tomb of Sultan Quli Qutb Shah (1st King, 1518-1543 A.D.),” the founder of the dynasty, his final resting place sets the tone for the impressive complex. Adjacent to it stands the “Tomb of Jamshed Quli Qutb Shah (2nd King, 1543-1550 A.D.).”

Further within the park, visitors can explore the “Tomb of Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah (3rd King, 1550-1580 A.D.)” and the “Tomb of Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah (4th King, 1580-1612 A.D.),” showcasing evolving architectural styles.

The “Tomb of Sultan Mohammad Qutb Shah (5th King, 1612-1626 A.D.)” and the “Tomb of Abdullah Qutb Shah (6th King, 1626-1672 A.D.)” also contribute to the park’s historical richness.

A particularly interesting inclusion is “The Unfinished Tomb of Mirza Nizamuddin Ahmed (7th King, 1672-1687 A.D.),” offering a glimpse into the construction process and the fate of the dynasty’s later rulers.

Additionally, the “Tomb of Hayath Bakshi Begum” stands as a testament to the powerful women of the Qutb Shahi era. This entire complex, maintained by the Dept. of Archaeology and Museums, Government of Andhra Pradesh, is a must-visit for history and architecture enthusiasts.
