The main park in Mashhad, the city, faced a problem on Maps, which could cause incorrect guidance to users.
The POI of the Mellat Park has been merged with the amusement park located in the park. It should be unmerged by Googlers.
The boundary of the park has been changed to the wrong boundary! I’m not sure if it is an automated change or what, but it is wrong based on my local data and satellite imagery.
As several days passed, we can now say the situation is stable. So, as I can see, while the boundary of the park has been fixed, the POI didn’t unmerge.
As a result, thousands of reviews and photos related to the whole park (which contains mine) remain attached to the amusement center POI.
What is your suggestion? Is the team able to revert the merge that happened for this POI?
Or should each of the thousands person, remove their photos/reviews and add them again to the newly added POI of the park?
Hi @MoniDi
Excuse me to express another issue in this topic. but since this is also a major park, and to prevent additional topics, I make my request here.
Someone removed Sorkheh Hesar Forest Park from the map! It is one of the big parks of Tehran and had lots of photos and reviews.
I only have its link before removal: This Link.
Since it is a very large area I can’t find the exact coordinates where the marker was, but it was about: 35.719324, 51.552943 I think.
I appreciate it if Google can reinstate this POI and check who removed such an important place, to prevent from his/her other spam activities.
Thank you @MoniDi
I should say a big thanks to you and others in the support team. It is now back on Maps And this helps people to have more engagement with such a green area.
Hi dear @MoniDi
Excuse me, but there is another wrong merge about a historical location and a tourist attraction:
The “Niavaran Private Palace” has been wrongly merged with the whole complex “Niavaran Palace Complex”. Because they have nearly the same name, the system thought these are the same, while Private Palace is one of the palaces of the complex.
Link to the POI: https://maps.app.goo.gl/pLwBchY5BSkBd7qy7
I would appreciate it if you could also escalate this for an unmerge.
Thank you so much dear @MoniDi
I understand that sometimes you may get tired of my reports, but all my efforts are to keep Maps organized, clean, and reliable. And this wouldn’t be possible without your kind help
I should say a big thanks dear @MoniDi
These are now separated well.
