only one thing, I know for sure: Google never publishes or tells us details about the process to accept or reject any edits. Having said that, I know from many discussions here on Connect that they verify if the business is already mentioned in any publications on the Internet.
To get a new place approved it can be counter productive to add several photos. Some swear to add only one or zero. Then you don’t need to delete such photos belonging to “unknown place”.
Also, please know that showing the surroundings can be a problem as every photo should clearly show the place.
Being on location is in my experience irrelevant when adding new places.
Online evidence (web and phone databases) are really important.
I sure don’t add all the pictures at once, You and @WilfriedB already recommendee me to add 1, not more. Besides, I remember, someone told me to add minimum information, that can be added later.
The problem is that I make photos, inquire information on the spot. But, when added to the maps, it is “Not approved”
This attitude is killing me, when I see cases above.
Well, address is added automatically, I don’t touch it.
I also try to avoid categories in the name of the place, but it is not always possible: for example, there is a network of electric vehicle charging stations all over the town, and they’re not even numbered, or smth. There is nothing to add without a category.
Maybe the account was spammed. I am currently experiencing this. It is completely unclear how Google Maps algorithms process information. The higher the level of account, the more vulnerable it is to scrutiny
Is this a long-term problem. Edits and Places Added were down for a few days recently, but has returned to normal now. After a few recent immediate rejections, I’m back to almost instant acceptance again.
