I was born in a time when to know where had a bakery or gas station you had to ask someone or look a YELLOW BOOK! (A real book, printed).
I grew and the Internet arrived, everything was possible, was a new age, the future was in sight!!
When I started to work with software and websites development near to 15 years ago, everybody wanted to create a website with local, neighborhood or city information, was a fever. The main problem was: who would go to the small business, talk to the owner or manager and put the information online? (and sometimes charge for the service)
Some companies tried to solve this problem, but they could not. It was not possible to have so many people in so many places. So this wave of local information websites ended with time and new technologies.
The time has passed… Smartphones, mobile internet, better technologies arrived. I stopped of work as a developer and I started to work with events, Congress and meetings.
One part of my job is to travel around my country and one of my most powerful tools is my Android smartphone, is an essential tool to talk with my workmates, my boss, my clients and to know more about where I’m going. Hotel, food, safety, quality… But as I said on the beginning information is POWER and who share information is empowering other people, starting a chain of the Good.
As get information is important to me, is so important to share my opinion about every hotel, restaurant and places where I go. I feel really happy when after leaving a good hotel I can share good points, bad points and tell for everyone a sincere opinion.
When you do good things, good things happen to you.
To me, the main purpose of the internet is to allow that ALL information is there when you want, doesn’t matter if you are poor or rich, is on a big city or small village, if you can connect to the internet you can get this power for you and give power to the others.
