One of the best and cheapest modes of transportation is the railways.
If you are an Indian, sometime or the other, you might have travelled in a train !
As a student, I explored many parts of India in trains and each time, they had something very different to offer. The iconic railway stations of India, gives us a glimpse of the people. I love and want to show how diverse we Indians are !.
The hustle and bustle of one of the most iconic railway station in India is the Chennai Central station (officially-Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central Railway Station), located in the heart of Chennai City, is a lifeline for migrants. And I have visited this station a couple of time, when I used to go to my home in Kolkata.
In stark contrast to this, some local suburban stations reflects calmness, such as the Chennai Chepauk station (except during for the CSK cricket matches in the stadium!). Getting around beach is very much easy from this station.
While some others help us to reach out to other connecting lines in the city. The Chennai Fort station does this job of linking the MRTS line and suburban line in the city.
But, the feel that you get when you reach to your hometown is simply just unprecedented ! Madurai Railway Junction is one such place, where I would always love to stop. Also, it makes you kind of happy to see your people come around and make it a wonderful journey. I don’t know how many times I have been to this station (literally!).
These are some the most beautiful railway stations in Tamil Nadu, India. Hope some of you may share your experiences about such vast wealth of India! This is the land of joy. Thank you Google Local Guides for the motivation. Lots of love !!!
