So I visited this local shop to buy myself some traditional outfits.
The shop owner a youth in his mid twenties sold traditional clothing, bags, bracelets and other souvenirs.
I was curious to know how he’d started his own business and I was shocked to learn from his experience, I thought I’d share.

He told me after his secondary school he had to do some odd jobs till he could find a permanent job to raise enough money to set up his business.
He would work during the day at a bookshop and during the night he would work part-time at an internet cafe. And on weekends he’d run errands for some people in the locality.
He had to do this for three years after which he thought he had saved enough money to open his own business.

He started by buying and selling food items and delivering them to his customers. After a year he thought he’d open a traditional outfit shop which he did.
He was very happy with what he was currently doing because it helps him to meet a lot of foreigners and to interact with them as well.
