The Health Benefits of Nuts as Snack Food

Nuts are eaten as part of a healthy diet all over the world because of their health benefits. Nuts such as almonds, pistachios, hazelnuts, pecans, and walnuts are popular snack foods in many countries. They are nutrient dense food that have seen an increase in global consumption as a result of their recognition in several nutritional regulations.

Nuts have been shown to improve immunity against coronary heart disease, cancer, and cardiovascular disease in numerous published research studies. Nuts are nutrient-dense foods with a high total fat content and a low saturated fatty acid range. All of the major nuts contain essential amino acids and are an excellent source of anti-inflammatory fats, producing healthy fiber for the gut, as well as B-vitamins, potassium, iron, and magnesium. In all major Saudi supermarkets, a separate section is usually devoted to dry fruits and nuts, which are widely regarded as a favorite snack meal.

Fully agree with you @fasi6083 and all those that have commented before me. Do you have a favorite type of nut? I prefer almonds myself, and I love when they are roasted; as well as being a source of protein and dietary fibre, a great source of Vitamin E and great for vegans :wink:
