i took a large road trip this summer. covering many interesting places…
but one of the most incredible places i have ever been was the Grand Canyon South Rim.
Cost - 35 dollars per car for 7 days in this national park
What you can expect to see:
the Amazing Canyon (goes for 20 some miles)
wild life, from Birds to Elks
walk paths that you can take with bike or on foot that can last full day. you need water!
cliffs that are daring you to stand and look over but also can fall to your death! Be careful as the Park Service can not Fence out the WHOLE Canyon. use your head and if you have children have them on a Leash…
many look out points - over 10-20 amazing look out points. can not remember the names of all them.
many tourist, and many different languages. i have never been to one place that has a huge mix of different countries represented !
How i took these shots
Camera is “Insta360 One X” - Cost is 400 dollars
extra long selfie stick - about 6 feet long - cost is 30 dollars
processing of images with the OEM software that Insta360 provides on Desktop mode
color correction “software - Snapseed” free on Android and IOS did all these on my phone
work flow - File exported to desktop, flatten out the view desktop, sent to my phone via cable usb C, then process images in Snapseed and then resized for desktop monitor with the short side of 1100 pixel for best sharpness.
Great post, thank you for sharing your experience at the Grand Canyon! I’ve always wanted to go there and see this beauty of nature that preserves the history of so many years. What was your favourite part of the trip?
Also, I really appreciate the details that you added about your photos! It’s the perfect example for a post in the Photography section, thanks again.

i chose the insta360 due to the software it has behind it. very friendly software.
image quality will be better if you go Fusion (go Pro) but i heard the software on go pro is harder to use.
that guy i follow on youtube is Ben Clarmont… he talked me into getting the insta360 one X model due to the easiness of use.
Ben Clarmont has many cameras sent to him as he is an INFLUENCER of products so he can use any camera he would like but all of his instagram posts is with the Insta360 one X.
also if i ever were to break my camera i would buy the same one again… Insta360 One X.
my recent trip i used my insta360 camera more than my Fuji X system. so that is telling you something there.
my photostream instagram is phamstagram360 ← you can see more examples of 360 shots i take.
mean while my work flow is about 20 mins long… i am still perfecting it but most of it can be done on the phone.
Thanks for your reply with details about the selfie stick @Phamstagram360 it really looks interesting I’m not really one for selfies but can see applications when having you camera out or above you might produce much better and more interesting shots
i only use Insta system because i have researched that Insta software is easy to use… and now that i have had the insta360 camera for 3 months, i do agree that the insta system is easy to use and software is easy to use.
now not all products are perfect.
insta camera has many faults.
poor battery life, may last 30 mins of video before you have to get a new battery changed
image quality is not best, my images look the way they do because i always edit them in Snapseed before posting
acessories are generally to ship out , (venture case)
Thanks for your wonderful time in writing this detailed comment. I understand it from your personnal experience.
Meanwhile, you have used ultra long selfie stick .Thats only for action (only videos, coz it doesnt support bluetooth), which cant be used for taking photos. How did you managed to take photos in that ?
@gowthamselvam the Insta360 One X camera has 2 ways to shot with extra long selfie
you can do 5 second count down (so i held camera close to me, pressed 5 second count down button. moved selfie stick to position i wanted and click.
you can go live view and shutter button with Cell Phone thru WiFi connection via Native App for camera… very nice to frame shots and take using the cell phone.
