The time around sunrise and again at sunset are oftentimes referred to as the golden hour for photography - the time when all colors are wildly saturated. I take this opportunity to shoot silhouettes against the sun and underexpose to pop-out my silhouette subjects from the background. While you will find it a lot of fun shooting these dark cut-outs, be mindful of your composition to make your photos more interesting.
