We’ve all been there: You walk into a restaurant excited to try a new dish, lured by the promise of “fresh ingredients” on the menu. But then, as you’re eating, you start to suspect that what you’re tasting might not be as fresh as advertised. Maybe the texture is a bit off, or the flavor just isn’t what you’d expect from truly fresh produce. After asking the staff, you find out that some of the items are actually frozen.
So, here’s the question: How do you feel when a restaurant markets their food as “fresh” but serves frozen ingredients instead?
Do you feel deceived, or do you think it’s a reasonable practice as long as the food still tastes good? Have you ever confronted a restaurant about this, or do you simply choose not to return? I’d like to hear your thoughts and experiences!
Poll:
- I feel deceived and would consider leaving a negative review.
- I understand why they might use frozen food but would prefer transparency on the menu.
- As long as the food tastes good, I don’t mind.
- I haven’t thought about it much and it doesn’t bother me.
- Other (please explain in the comments).
