The Filmy Escape to ND Studio, Karjat🎬

Hello Filmy Folks,

@MerlinThomas has started a very unique challenge.

It feels good when you visit the place from your favorite movie and strike the same post and get famous

I’m not much of Bollywood fan, but who wouldn’t like to show off there Bollywood escape? here it is, entry for 3M challenge and for the great escape for filmy people. ND Studio in Karjat

Located a bit away from hustle and bustle, big big area to wander and click thousand of photos . its not just a film set , its a cinematic time machine. Shall I call movie buff’s fantasy land?.

The entry fee is rs.500/-, self served tour, they give wheelchair for differently abled or senior citizen, when we visit it was less crowded. I would really liked it more if they have maintained the place a bit and have good information boards. Paid Tour are also available (Won’t recommend with current maintenance situation)

More than 4000 shows and movies are shot at ND studios. Jodha Akbar, Lagaan, Bajirao Mastani, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Raja Shivchhatrapati, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Slumdog Millionaire, Kick, Bigg Boss, KBC are some of them.

Reaching here was easy as its accessible from the Mumbai- Pune highway. Parking is available inside the Studio. Clean washrooms to get photo ready near the ticket counter. No cafes or food stalls inside.

:memo: Travel Tip:
Its a lot of walk so be ready, wear cap and comfy shoes
Carry water and snacks and don’t forget your filmy poses!

ND Studio is a perfect blend of the reel and real world. Its a mini-Bollywood in the hills.

What a blockbuster experience @SaylliWalve1
Your post transported me straight into the heart of ND Studio — like flipping through scenes of cinematic history. From Jodha Akbar to Bajirao Mastani, it’s amazing how one location holds so many iconic memories. Loved your humor and travel tips too!

Which movie set felt the most magical or surreal to stand in front of?
