We have the same food in Bulgaria, I think. It’s called ‘sarmi’. Can you expand your post with a short description about the ingredients of this dish, if there’s something interesting about the cooking process, has it got any occasion you are cooking this dish or something like that? I think that the article will become a bit more interesting this way.

@FlameFox I ate sarmale in Romania from the 2nd photo but in Egypt we don’t fill it with meat only with rice. 1st photo is other kind of sârmele made from grabs leaves. in Romania they didn’t have this type, do you have it in Hungary?
