The Samasta Vitthal Temple in Pashan is on the way to my daily commute to the bus stop.
Today I paused to capture a few photos
The DeepMaal pillar is prominently visible in front of the temple.
The DeepMaal is a lamp pillar.
They are also called DipVriksha or a lamp tree.
The other names are DeepStambh.
It is a tall stone structure like tree a with brackets for holding oil lamps.
The lamps however are placed during important festivals like Deep Amavasya or Shravani Somvar.
Here is a closeup view of the DeepStambh Lamp Pillar.
The temple is made entirely of white marble with beautiful carvings done on it.
The type of arch on the top is called a Bangla Arch.
The overall temple looks heavenly with its mesmerizingly beautiful Rajasthani architectural style.
The arch below is called the cusped arch and is a classic element of the Hindu Temple architecture.
The arch is adorned with carvings of flowers.
Adjacent to the arches are bell hangings beautifully carved in marble.
Here’s a closeup view of one of the pillars that depicts a KalpVriksha or the Tree or Eternity.
On the right side is a folk artist from India called the Gondhali.
They sing and also play music, though only on invitation, and typically start their performance late evening continuing until midnight.
Note the Swastik symbol adorning his dress.
The Swastik, 卐 or 卍, has been a symbol of prosperity and well-being for centuries across the world.
I will hopefully visit here tonight and take a photo with the lamps glowing.

That’s very nice temple, looks very serene, clean surrounding too. The black deepastambh on white background looks stunning. Nicely written and photos to support it, @TusharSuradkar .
Cheers!

Thank you @Annaelisa
The festival season has started, and they likely lit up the lamps on one of these days.

Thank you @AjitThite
We do not have many Vitthal temples around in Maharashtra in Marble.
Mostly they are in black stone, hence several times the DeepStambh is also not visible easily.
This one stands out in the contrast.
The temple is located in the heart of Pashan Gaothan, hence many people do not know about it except the locals.
I think due to that reason it is comparatively cleaner.

Thank you for the quick response dear @ShubhamWaman
I will schedule a formal meetup and invite everyone along with us.
There are 3 such temples with DeepStambhs and we will go there all together with the inspiration @AjitThite
Though not this Sunday - maybe the 3rd Sunday - that too if you are not hosting a meetup

You’re welcome @TusharSuradkar dada.
Actually, I have planned to travel to Thane on the 3rd Saturday, so I am unable to join on the 3rd Sunday.
I am also thinking of scheduling a meetup soon, but due to some family and personal work, I am not able to host for at least 1 month.
I am a very dedicated person. I feel that I should be fully focused on the meetup, so I will organize the meetup immediately after I am free from work.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

No worries, dear @ShubhamWaman
I was joking
As you know I and Ajit dada are always encouraging everyone to host a meetup.
Host the meetup when you feel comfortable - it is just enjoyment
But we will host the next Pune meetup in August as per your and @AjitThite dada’s availability -maybe 4th weekend.
