The cup of my morning tea

Every day I like to take two cups of tea. First cup in the morning and second cup after lunch. I take tea with garlic and honey. No sugar or milk. I am very much interested to see the photo of your cup of tea. Do you take tea with only sugar or you add anything like me? Thanks.

Hey @MukulR ,

That’s an interesting way to drink your tea, I mean with garlic and honey. Usually I put honey and lemon but if I have to be honest, I skip the lemon so that I don’t make my tea bitter. Is green tea your favourite?

Since you’ve put the Restaurants tag in your post, can you recommend any places where they serve tea with honey and garlic just like you like it?

Hi @MoniDi ,

Thanks for liking the post. Yes, green tea is my favorite. Bangladesh has a lot of tea brands. Some of the brands have green tea. Some of them are of premium quality. You will like them for sure. In our country, people take tea in several ways: Milk tea- tea with milk and sugar. This option is the most favorite. Raw tea (which is known as color tea): Tea with no milk but sugar and ginger pieces. Some tea stall adds pieces of lemon (not the lemon juice) in raw tea. Only tea: no sugar but ginger and lemon pieces. You will be surprised to hear that in Sylhet you can get some tea stalls selling tea with seven colors. If I go there I will take the details and will make a post here. Yes, some stalls sell tea with honey in our nearby area. Those stalls sell only tea and nothing else. I will make a post on them in the future. Thanks once again.

Hi @MukulR ,

Thanks for your reply. The information that you shared is really interesting. I like drinking tea but I’ve never heard of a seven colours tea - that looks like a cocktail, wow! Also, I’ve never heard of stalls selling only tea. Where I live, we don’t have those, we usually order a cup of tea in a cafe or another place for eating. I also like tea with milk but usually I make it at home as it is not common to drink it like this in my country. If you happen to make a post about the stalls, I will definitely check it out.

Nice to discover a novel combination of Garlic + Green tea @MukulR
However, my favorite remains “Masala Tea.” The usual composition consists of Ginger, Cardamom, Cloves and Cinnamon.

@C_T I use garlic with my as medicine, not for test for sure!!! I just use this method to eat more garlic. I also like ginger tea, lemon tea. If I order tea at tea stall I only prefer milk tea without sugar or no spice. Definitely, milk does not go with spice. Haha. Thanks for your information about the “Masala Tea.”

@Nyainurjanah Really to small? Do you think so? hahaha. Yes, I like to take tea in this small cup. I have seen a smaller cup in the tea stall. If I get a chance to take a photo, I will show you that one. I am interested to see your cup. If possible show us your cup so that we can compare. Thanks for liking the post.

@Nyainurjanah Yes, this cup is perfect for your description. If I drink this full cup of tea I cannot sleep for two nights. I am sure. Even if I drink tea after 5 pm I face problem to sleep. I am really unfortunate in this regard. Thanks for showing the beautiful cup with tea and (is it a biscuit or something else?).

Hi there @MukulR

Nice to meet a fellow tea-lover. I’m actually writing up on the best places to have afternoon tea in Johannesburg for one of the publications I freelance for.

I must admit, adding garlic to your tea is a first for me. I’ve never heard of that before today.

I personally love trying new teas and am a big fan of the berry types such as Mulberry and Strawberry.

At home, I usually have a general Ceylon blend with either 1 sugar and milk or 3 sugars and milk, depending on how my body is feeling at the time.

Hi @LeeBee-SA ,

Thanks a lot for sharing your tea habit with us. Like you, earlier I also took tea with milk and sugar. Then I started to avoid sugar. After leaving sugar I left milk in tea. Now I take tea with only honey, if honey is not available I take only tea. :tea: :tea: :tea:

I think honey and garlic both are good for health. That’s why I use them in my tea. It seems very interesting to me that you like berry types of tea which I heard for the first time. Actually taking teas varies from country to country and person to person. By the way, I like the cup of your tea very much. The type of tea, in the photo, is very much common in Bangladesh. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: . Most of the people in our country like this kind of milk tea. Thanks once again for the sharing of your experience with us.

Hello @MoniDi , you may like the photo and tea type of @LeeBee-SA .

Hello. Thank you for sharing a nice tea photo. I love tea too. I drink tea at various times, such as when I want to relax, when I am happy, when I am sad, when I get up in the morning, after dinner. Now is the time for snacks. Eat delicious green tea and fruit tart. Green tea is astringent and can be eaten refreshingly with an impression that counteracts sweetness. Thank you very much. Regard
