On this days I’m in an alimentary restriction, and my evil mind is reminds me some delicious things that I tasted in my travel to Los Ángeles, CA last year. Like this marvelous pastry the "CRONUT"
Cronut: Doughnuts - Croissant Hybrid
I tried one Cronut last year in my vacation in Los Angeles, in a Dominique Ansel Bakery , his creator. The process of Cronut’s invention took him three months. And three are the days who take to prepare a batch of Cronuts. Is a hard work if you even are thinking in do it by yourself.
Let me introduce to all of you this pastry. It tastes more like a doughnut but deeply you can feel that some croissant is taking part of this creation. They’re filled with cream, rolled on sugar and ended with glaze on top.
It’s delicious as hell, believe me, if you have the chance you need to try a Cronut once. Some flavors are tricky to explain with words, you need it in your mouth and taste by yourself.
Have you ever tried a Cronut? Did you liked it?
Greetings.
Silvi
I tried my first cronut at a doughnut shop in Durham, North Carolina, USA (Rise Biscuits & Doughnuts). It looks messier yet similar to yours. I loved the combination of two sweet treats!
In San Francisco, we have the Cronut and other varieties made in a similar way. One of my personal favorites is Mr. Holmes Bakehouse and their Cruffin!
Thank you for sharing your post with us. A doughnut and a croissant, what can you ask more, the best of both worlds. Looking at the picture and reading your description, it made me drool. I would love to try it. Do they offer cronut in different flavors?
You’re right @InaS the best of both worlds. They have many flavors, I don’t remember the names, but I know that they release one new flavor every month. Can you believe it?
