In this post, I’d like to tell you guys about a wonderful park in Colorado, USA that I think not many people know.
I went to the US as a participant in a culture exchange program. During the program I used to live in a remote town is called Burlington to the east of Colorado. To have fun, I used to go to Denver and explore it -by myself as usual-. Once I visited a historical amphitheater located in a park is called ‘Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater’.
I cycled for almost 10 miles from the center of Lakewood to that incredible Park. It was my 1st time I had cycled for that long, so, it was so tiring adventure for me; it was a long way under scorching sun without water. Despite that, the landscapes along that way were ones of the prettiest landscapes I’ve ever seen in my life! I mean I only had seen those landscapes on internet! You could see lakes, peaks of couple of Rocky Mountains along the way! It’s insane!
After that incredible way, I made it to the park, when you first get in to it, you find yourself in a road between huge red rocks were carved many years ago! Those Red Rocks reminded me of Petra! It’s a historical city located in Jordan -where I live-. The common thing between them is the remarkable color of their rocks; another local nickname of Petra is ‘The Pink City’ because of its pink rocks!
The amphitheater is located to the north of the park. It’s fascinating! You can see that stage in front of that huge red rock and those ancient amphitheater’s stairs between huge red rocks! The interesting thing is that there’re concerts take place there! So, it’s like a mix between modernism and history! It’s such a thing you have to experience to feel!
Here are some photos I took of the Amphitheater:
I believe Earth has many uncommon places like this one that we have to discover and make our own adventures in exploring them.
